WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP STOP VIVISECTION
What can the genuinely concerned person do to help end the fraud of vivisection?
We believe that education is the most important first step to abolition. However,
before being able to educate others it is essential that we first educate ourselves
to the fraud of animal experimentation. As the first step, read Slaughter of the
Innocent. Written 30 years ago, and still in print, it is as valid a call for abolition
as it ever was. Then read the follow-

Follow these with the CIVIS Foundation Reports, starting with number one and read through in sequence.
Read the CIVIS ‘Black Booklet’; Vivisection is Scientific Fraud. 42 pages of b/w photos from vivisection labs the world over, and originally part of the first edition of Naked Empress. Again, a lesson from history, and perfectly valid as ever, despite the veneer of respectability that the proponents of vivisection try to place over the practice in order to hide the ghastly truth from the public. In reality, despite the intervening years since this booklet came out, little has changed for lab animals.
Finally there is the CIVIS Questions and Answers booklet, and various articles.
My advice for those new to the horrors of vivisection, and who GENUINELY wish to
do something about it, rather than dream, would be to read the CIVIS literature and
to treat it as a beacon of light to guide you. Use it as the standard by which all

To anyone seriously contemplating joining the fight against vivisection we respectfully suggest that:
A) The notion of ‘animal rights’ is consigned to the history books; it has reduced
the level of anti-
B) Any discussion about ‘alternatives’ to vivisection, or the ‘3 Rs’ (reduction, replacement, refinement) is not entered into for reasons that should be obvious to those who have read the material on this site.
C) It is remembered that the threat of infiltration is very real indeed.
D) Avoid the big national A V societies, whose actions clearly demonstrate their incompetence, whether accidental or otherwise.

The purpose of this Hans Ruesch Centre is twofold: to encourage the dissemination

economic, environmental and ethical grounds, and to keep alive the memory of Hans

In short, it is vital that we do all we can to inform others of not just the cruelties of animal experimentation, but also the harms done to people through basing our health care system on the wrong methodology of vivisection; the ridiculous belief that in some way mice are miniature men.
Lend your books and DVD to friends, family and work colleagues.
Distribute leaflets to houses in your area, or to the pubic in busy places -
Leave small amounts of leaflets in places where they are likely to be picked up, such as in health food shops with the permission of sympathetic owners.
Put on video screenings to groups of friends, or members of environmental, animal welfare, womens’ groups, etc.
Write letters to newspapers. Remember there is much more chance of it being published in a local paper than a national, and if the letter is clearly typed, and to the point. Don't waffle! Don't be disheartened if it is not published, but try again at a later date. Make copies and send to other local papers. Write your letter in response to recent news items, such as drug damages, the cost of the NHS, etc.
Write to your MP demanding the total abolition of vivisection. Do not be deterred by unfavourable replies! Point out that vivisection has caused, and is causing, terrible damage to human health, the environment, and the economy.

Finally, avoid the prescription pad where possible. Less profits for the drugs industry
means less money for vivisection. Perhaps you could consider seeing a registered
naturopath, accupuncturist, homeopath etc for medical advice? Remember that doctors
